What do I actually do?

System & network administration

Over twenty years in the field, full-time since 2005. Windows Server, Exchange and Microsoft 365, Linux servers (Debian, Ubuntu, AlmaLinux) including hardening, virtualisation with VMware ESXi and Proxmox, Synology storage and networking with Cisco, Palo Alto, DrayTek and pfSense: VLANs, firewalls and VPN. From the workplace to the data centre, on site or remotely.

Web shops & websites

Installation, migration, security and performance of WordPress, PrestaShop, Shopware and Joomla. Hosting on my own VPS with WHM/cPanel, backup and disaster recovery, payment integrations such as Mollie. Recently: three PrestaShop web shops upgraded to PrestaShop 8 with a complete SEO overhaul, and a Shopware web shop with 17,000 products.

AI implementation & automation

Working with AI in practice every day since 2023: integrations with Claude, GPT and Gemini, prompt engineering, AI content pipelines for web shops and automated SEO content at scale. I build implementations that measurably save time or generate revenue, not presentation slides. Recently: UwWoord (uwwoord.nl), a self-built Dutch AI SaaS, and Blindvlek (blindvlek.nl), a news platform with AI clustering.

SEO, online marketing & design

Technical SEO, Core Web Vitals, structured data, Google Search Console and Merchant Center, content in Dutch and English, Google Ads, newsletters in Mailchimp and social media campaigns. Plus design in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop: logos, print work and social assets.
